Article I: General Provisions
Section 1.1: Name and Nature
The name of the association is the "Global Feng Shui Association" (hereinafter "the Association" or "GFSA"). The Association is an international non-profit organization registered in Canada, dedicated to the professional research, educational promotion, and international exchange of Feng Shui and related I Ching culture.

Section 1.3: Legal Compliance
All activities of the Association shall comply with the applicable laws and regulations of its place of registration, Canada, and the jurisdictions in which it operates.
Article II: Mission and Objectives
Section 2.1: Purpose of the Association
The Association is dedicated to integrating classical wisdom with modern technology through research, education, and professional services to protect, innovate, and promote the application of traditional Chinese Feng Shui and I Ching culture, enhancing spatial harmony and personal well-being, and fostering cross-cultural understanding and exchange worldwide.
Section 2.2: Core Objectives
- Academic Research: To promote interdisciplinary research and innovative applications of I Ching wisdom in modern environmental planning, sustainable architecture, and eco-city development.
- Education & Training: To establish an international curriculum, from foundational to advanced levels, to cultivate practitioners with professional knowledge and ethical standards.
- Professional Certification: To implement a rigorous professional qualification system to raise industry standards and provide the public with a reliable directory of certified professionals.
- International Exchange: To build a global academic exchange platform by regularly hosting international symposiums, lectures, and other events to facilitate the collision and fusion of global wisdom.
Article III: Organizational Structure
Section 3.1: Governance Structure
The Association's organizational structure is designed to ensure effective governance, professional operation, and strategic development. The main components are:
- President: As the highest authority of the Association, the President oversees the entire organization, sets the strategic direction, and represents the Association globally.
- Board of Directors / Executive Committee: Comprising the President, Vice Presidents, and senior experts, the Board is responsible for the strategic guidance, governance, and major decisions of the Association.
- Advisory Committee: Composed of experts in ethics, standards, and science, this committee provides guidance on professional practices and ethical standards.
Section 3.2: Departments
The Association includes several functional departments to support its operations:
- Department of Education & Training: Develops and delivers courses, certification programs, and educational resources.
- Department of Research & Development: Advances the field by integrating Feng Shui and I Ching with modern disciplines through research and innovation.
- Department of Member Services: Manages member relations, benefits, recruitment, and retention.
- Department of Marketing & Communication: Promotes the Association's brand, manages public relations, and creates content.
- Department of Events & Conferences: Organizes symposiums, annual meetings, and other events.
- Department of Finance & Administration: Manages the Association's budget, human resources, and daily administrative tasks.
Section 3.3: Regional Chapters
The Association may establish regional chapters or international divisions (e.g., North America, Europe, Asia) to oversee and coordinate local operations, activities, and member services.
Article IV: Membership
Section 4.1: Eligibility
The Association welcomes applications from individuals, students, and institutions interested in Feng Shui, I Ching, and traditional Chinese culture.
Section 4.2: Membership Tiers
The Association offers various membership tiers, including but not limited to Student Member, Professional Member, and Organizational Member, each with specific rights and benefits. For detailed application criteria and benefits, please refer to the "Membership" section on the official website.
Section 4.3: Rights and Obligations of Members
- Rights: To enjoy services and resources provided by the Association; to participate in events organized by the Association; to receive information from the Association; to provide suggestions and supervise the work of the Association.
- Obligations: To comply with these Bylaws and other regulations of the Association; to uphold the reputation and legitimate interests of the Association; to pay membership fees on time; to actively participate in and support the development of the Association.
Article V: Finance and Asset Management
Section 5.1: Funding Sources
The Association's funding sources primarily include: membership fees, service revenue, donations from the public, government grants, and special funds (such as the "International Cooperation Special Fund for I Ching and Environmental Research").
Section 5.2: Asset Management
The assets of the Association shall be managed in strict accordance with non-profit financial regulations and used exclusively for the purposes and scope of activities defined in these Bylaws. The assets are subject to oversight and audit by the Board of Directors and relevant authorities.
Article VI: Miscellaneous
Section 6.1: Amendment of Bylaws
Amendments to these Bylaws must be proposed by the Board of Directors and approved by a General Assembly of Members or an expanded meeting of the Board of Directors. The amendment process must comply with the laws of the place of registration.
Section 6.2: Interpretation
The final authority for the interpretation of these Bylaws rests with the Board of Directors of the Global Feng Shui Association.
Section 6.3: Effective Date
These Bylaws shall take effect on the date of their adoption by the Board of Directors.
