Membership Management and Benefits Policy

This policy clarifies the membership management system and ensures members receive their due benefits and services.

Article I: General Provisions

This policy is established in accordance with the "Bylaws of the Global Feng Shui Association" to standardize the management of GFSA members and to protect their core benefits. All member recruitment, management, services, and benefits are governed by this policy. The Department of Member Services is responsible for the interpretation and execution of this policy.

Article II: Membership Tiers & Eligibility

The Association offers three main membership tiers with the following eligibility requirements:

  • Student Member: For full-time students currently enrolled in a relevant educational institution who have a strong interest in Feng Shui, I Ching, and related fields. Valid proof of student status is required upon application.
  • Professional Member: For practicing Feng Shui masters, researchers, or consultants who have completed professional training from the Association or an equivalent accredited institution and have passed the corresponding certification exams. Applicants are expected to have a certain level of practical experience.
  • Organizational Member: For legally registered institutions, companies, or academic units engaged in fields related to Feng Shui, architectural design, environmental planning, or cultural education.

Article III: Membership Benefits

Each membership tier offers a range of differentiated benefits and services designed to meet the needs of different groups. A comparison of benefits is provided below:

Article IV: Application, Renewal, and Withdrawal

Section 4.1: Application Process

  1. Visit the "Membership" section on the official website and select the appropriate tier.
  2. Complete and submit the online membership application form.
  3. Upload the required supporting documents (e.g., student ID, professional certificates, business registration).
  4. Pay the corresponding annual membership fee.
  5. The Department of Member Services will review the complete application within 15 business days and notify the applicant of the result via email.

Section 4.2: Fees and Renewal

Membership is valid for one year. Members should renew their membership within one month prior to the expiration date to ensure continuous access to benefits. Membership will be automatically suspended for those who fail to renew on time.

Section 4.3: Withdrawal

A member may withdraw from the Association at any time by providing written notice to the Department of Member Services. Paid membership fees are non-refundable upon withdrawal, and all member benefits will cease immediately.

Article V: Code of Conduct

While enjoying their benefits, all members must adhere to the following code of conduct:

  • Comply with the Association's Bylaws and this policy, and uphold the professional reputation and image of the Association.
  • Adhere to professional ethics and academic integrity in all practice and research activities.
  • Do not misuse the Association's name for any unauthorized commercial activities or false advertising.
  • Respect the intellectual property of others and refrain from plagiarism or infringement.
  • Actively participate in Association events and promote friendly exchange and cooperation among members.

If a member seriously violates the code of conduct and causes harm to the Association, the Association reserves the right, upon a resolution by the Board of Directors, to suspend or permanently revoke their membership.

Article VI: Miscellaneous

The final right of interpretation and amendment of this policy rests with the Board of Directors of the Global Feng Shui Association. This policy is effective from the date of its publication and will be revised as needed to align with the Association's development.
